Ruth's Testimony
I grew up on the mission field of Mexico City, as the oldest of eight children. I received Christ as my Savior one Thursday evening, at the age of five as I sat on the front pew listening to my dad preach a sermon on hell. I vividly remember sitting on the edge of my pew, attentive to every word as my dad told of heaven and hell, explained how eternity is forever and that once we pass away our eternity is sealed.
That evening as I sat in the service my mom noticed that I was being burdened by the Holy Spirit and took me aside, away from the distractions of people fellowshipping and leaving church. It was in that janitor's closet, sitting on a five gallon bucket that my mom gently, guided me through the Romans road. I realized that I was a sinner and that my sins would send me to hell. That night, I chose to bow my head and receive Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Saviour.
I am very familiar with life as a missionary kid and am looking forward to the challenges and blessings of being a missionary wife and mom as we share the Gospel with the people of Alaska. I am grateful for the heritage of faith the Lord has given to both Jonathan and myself. Our parents are an inspiration and example to us as we serve today.
"For so hath the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth." - Acts 13:47
If you are not 100 % sure that you would spend eternity in heaven please read through a clear presentation of the gospel.
I pray that if you have not made the decision yet to accept Christ as your Saviour that you would do it right now- don't wait any longer- God has a purpose for your life!
